Well, just another Day in Paradise.....last night was one of those times when if it could have been funny if you were looking in from the outside. I wanted to turn the baby bed around where the drop down side was closest to our bed, the two year grandchild can now climb out of the baby, so I thought it better to have the lower side on the side of our bed, she could just climb out of bed and into our bed. When I went to move the bed, I found that she had broke the bottom braces last week when she plopped down on the mattress from a standing position. So one side of the mattress and board where further down. Well, we got the bed moved, but can't use it until my hubby gets the braces back on and the glue has dried. This meant putting the playpen back up for her to sleep in. While this is going on she is in the middle of everything trying "to help" knocking her lava lamp off the cabinet and knocking over a big picture which cause the glass to break. So I had to clean the glass up, I am back to putting up her playpen and I step on a video, breaking the video and I think breaking my middle toe, as it has turned purple and looks horrible. We finally get her in the playpen and start calming down for the night. Paradise is anything but dull around here.

Also due to a divorce of my son-in-laws (ex-wife....her 3rd) she is moving herself and my step-grandson to Orange Beach. This isn't making Son-in-law very happy, and he is probably taking her to court to get her delayed in moving while the decide who will end up with custody of him. If son-in-law gets custody we will have a 6th person in the house all the time, we have 7 part time now. This shall be another stage of paradise all together.

Anyone have hooks they aren't using. I may have to start hanging people from them to make room. LOL. Entertaining we are.

I have to stop a minute and talk about my Mom. I have to thank God each day for Christian Parents, who saw that I was raise in church, in a Christian environment. My Mom was always there for me, and as she is sick now, and so weak she doesn't get up out of the except for meals and to go to the restroom, I feel helpless for there seems to be nothing that I can do. My Dad is taking care of her and this is running him down. I go up there to see them, and take the Grandbaby to seem them, this seems to cheer Dad up some. Which is good, it helps keep his mind off his problems for a while anyway. She has started wanting to give her things away, which is depressing for me, it makes me think she is giving up the fight. What do you do to keep your spirit high when you see this happening. It is so sad to feel this helpless. It is probably time for the Grandchildren and Great grandchildren to go see her, while they can and her mind is half way her. As each day you can see her mind slipping more and more. I go as often as I can now to be with her while I can. Alzheimers is just part of her problems, as her kidneys aren't working properly, she is in pain constantly it seems, the Doctors seem to think this is all caused by her lupus. Which went untreated for to long. Lupus is a disease that can strike so many different ways, so many different organs. There is not a single lab test that can determine if a person has lupus. You have to have several lab test run and the results analyzed, these test are used to monitor the immune system. No one knows what causes lupus. Scientists think that people are born with the genes to develop lupus and the something brings on or "triggers" the disease and symptoms. Some lupus can be brought on by drugs, others by genetics. Also each persons case is different, different people different results and symptoms. For more info on lupus go to www.lupus.org.

I have gotten another recipe to let people try out.

You put skinless polish sausage in the bottom of a pot, top it with baby carrots, cabbage, and new potatoes. Cover with water and let simmer until sausage is tender and veggies are done. This is so good. Good all year long.
